Gilt rose pot by Au Bain Marie Paris is completely handcrafted, with a resin base and cut and gold-plated metal with a leaf imitating golf, with a heart that mimics sapphire.
This rose is inspired by one of the treasures of the 14th century preserved in the Cluny Museum, famous national museum of the Middle Ages in Paris, where the series of tapestries of the Lady with the Unicorn are shown.
The Tradition: Every year, on the 4th Sunday of Lent, the Pope offered a gold rose to one of his faithful to distinguish him, especially for religious or political reasons.
The Count of Neuchâtel received this rose from John XXII, 196th Pope of the Catholic Church. The oldest rose is kept at the Cluny Museum.
